The Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi II, became emotional during an event in Kano today Sunday, July 19, 2015.
Premium Times reports that the emir had to take a two-minute pause and cried during his speech at the Africa House of the Kano government house.
This happened as he was advising Nigerian leaders to be prepared to account for all their actions before God. The emir’s powerful message also contained a reminder that “power was a responsibility bestowed on leaders at all levels and for which they would account.”
Sanusi Lamido continued his speech, praising the Kano state authorities. He expressed confidence a strong relationship between the council and the state government would be built.
